Dr. Waldo J. Werning, recipient of the 2006 "DONALD A. McGAVRAN Award for Outstanding Leadership in Church Growth" and leader of this Empowering & Mobilizing God's People Discipling Series, served congregations in Missouri and Oklahoma.  He has been a Stewardship/Biblical Renewal executive and a leader in the Healthy Church Initiative, and a consultant for many years for U.S. churches, and in 15 countries overseas. He has visited more than 1,000 churches and taught at Concordia Theological Seminary. Presently, he administers the "Catch the Vision of His Mission" 5-Year Renewal Process for the India Evangelical Church. He was a participant in the Lausanne and Manila (sectional speaker) Congresses on World Evangelization. Werning is author of 29 books, 17 tracts, 3 filmstrips, and is director of the Discipling/Stewardship Center, Healthy Church Initiative of Waukesha, Wisconsin.
